When a refugee, or anyone, relies on aid alone to sustain themselves this can have a negative effect on their personality and outlook on life. The New Life Program is aimed at giving refugees a new lease of life by teaching them to care for themselves and provide for themselves by teaching the refugees skills they can apply to their lives and possible employment. The project aims to make the refugees more independent by teaching them skills such as: – home farming of fruit and vegetables from seeds – looking after cattle for their personal use and for financial gain – teaching them skills such as carpentry This program is expected to show an improvement in the lifestyle and conditions of the refugees in Sudan.
