With the major outbreak of COVID-19 across the world, Eri Hope has taken precautions to prevent a spread in the vulnerable Eritrean refugee camps in Wed Sherify, East Sudan.

Eri Hope has distributed hand soap and other hygiene essentials across the camp. Leaflets outlining the preventions and treatment of COVID-19 have also been distributed to educate the locals on how to protect themselves and their vulnerable elderly and children.

Sanitation of public places across the camp, such as places of worship, has also taken place to ensure the safety of the refugees.

This has been an important project for Eri Hope as we understand the vulnerability of the refugees being in such a close knit, designated place which disease can spread very easily without precautions put in place.
