Following Ramadan of 2020, Zakat ul Fitr was collected by Eri Hope to distribute among the refugees displaced in Sudan. The Zakat u Fitr is paid by the families of those who fasted to distribute to the needy muslims across the world through charities and charitable organisations.

The Zakat collected by Eri Hope was collected for the Eritrean refugees in Sudan. The zakat was distributed in the form of maize and flour, as was originally done in the times of the Prophet (SWT). It was successfully distributed among 1,500 people.
